This document explains how to install Dreamweaver on a Windows computer. Dreamweaver 8 is only available for download by the faculty and staff of the College of Wooster.

In order use Dreamweaver provided by the College of Wooster, it is necessary to install the KeyServer Client. This documentation is designed to guide users on campus through these steps in the most convenient way possible.

1. If you have not already installed the latest KeyServer Client, navigate to http://www.wooster.edu/technology/resources/software/ and choose the appropriate KeyServer Client for your version of Windows. (IF you have a LAPTOP, you need to download the KeyServer Client for laptops).
2. When you click on the type of system you have, you will be prompted to enter your user name and password.
3. Once you enter your information, you will be asked what you want to do with the file. Choose save and save the file to the desktop. It should look something like this:

1. Double Click on the icon. It will launch the KeyServer Client installer.
2. Please click "Next" through the next two screens and then "Install." Please wait while it installs and then click "Finish."

Once you have finished installing the software you will need to reboot your computer. You can click "Yes" and restart your computer immediately, or you may click "No," save what you are working on and restart later.

1. Navigate to http://www.wooster.edu/technology/resources/software/ and choose the Dreamweaver for Windows.
2. You will be asked what you would like to do with the file; choose save, and save the file to your desktop.
3. When the download is complete, close your web browser.

1. You will see a folder on your desktop like the one below. Double click the file to open the Dreamweaver installer folder.



2. In the folder, you should see an installer package titled "Dreamweaver_8-ks". Open this file to install Dreamweaver.
3. If you see a security warning, click 'Run.'
4. Click through the installation, you will not need to change anything and it may take a minute to finish installing.
5. When it is done, click 'Finish' and open Dreamweaver.

1. You have to activate Dreamweaver in order to use it. Choose activate from the first menu and then you will be presented with the following screen:
   The serial number for Dreamweaver is in the folder that you downloaded initially, it is called 'serial number.txt.'
2. DO NOT register you copy of Dreamweaver! Click 'Remind Me Later.'

1. You may now delete all of the files that you have downloaded to your desktop.
