IN MEMORY OF ME revolves around Ruth Malloy, a recent resident at an assisted living facility, who finds herself, after years of fierce independence, struggling with the onset of dementia. She turns to another resident, Jane, for assistance in helping her to cope. Told in both the present and through Ruth's demented state of memory, issues of religious belief and social/gender expectations provide the foundation upon which the two women struggle to understand and accept the decisions each of them ultimately makes.
