Inauguration of Dr. Anne E. McCall

On Saturday, October 28, 2023, we came together to celebrate a new chapter for The College of Wooster with the inauguration of Dr. Anne E. McCall. The celebration included a multitude of events, including a panel discussion series, titled “Celebrating Disruptions in the Liberal Arts,” a Celebration of the Arts at the College, Fighting Scots athletic events, Black & Gold Weekend festivities, and more.

A musical performance during the ceremony will feature the Wooster Chorus directed by Lisa Wong, Olive Williams Kettering Professor of Music. Others from the College participating in the ceremony include Jaylin Hudson ’24, president of Scot Council; Carly Jones, assistant director of the Academic Resource Center and secretary of the Staff Committee; and Jennifer Bowen, Dean for Curriculum and Academic Engagement, professor of mathematics, and chair of theatre and dance.

Join a series of academic panels on Friday, October 27, focused on critical topics in the liberal arts including “Emergent Histories,” “Edges of Reason,” and “Unsettling Spaces.”
