Independent Study Topic
I will be student teaching and organizing my own Voice Recital.
I have had field placements in many schools around Wooster, including Cornerstone Elementary, Green Elementary, Westminster Presbyterian Church and Preschool, and Madison Middle School. After my junior year, I spent two and a half weeks with my high school choir teacher, a Wooster alumna, teaching and observing her classes and living the life of a secondary music educator.
Activities on Campus
COW Belles a-cappella ensemble (co-vice president and music director), Delta Theta Psi, Music Theory Tutor, Wooster Quidditch
Favorite Wooster Tradition
I.S. Symposium Day is my favorite Wooster Tradition because it celebrates all the hard work the seniors have done throughout the Independent Study process. It also allows the underclassmen to see exactly what their peers have been working on all year and continues Wooster’s tradition of celebrating excellence.
Favorite Spot in Wooster
My favorite spot around Wooster is the Farmer’s Market that happens each Saturday in Downtown Wooster. It is in the center of the city and allows people to support our local economy and give back to our neighbors. It is also a good way to get to know more of the locals – I even see some of the College’s faculty and staff at the Farmer’s Market!
