Cassidy Ely received her M.F.A. in sculpture from The University of Tennessee and a B.F.A. from Herron School of Art and Design. Cassidy teaches sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking. Cassidy’s studio practice utilizes a wide array of techniques and materials, focusing on the idea of home and the human connection to place. She is the recipient of the 2017 International Sculpture Center Outstanding Achievement Award, and a 2018 Honorable mention. She is also the 2017 and 2018 Recipient of the Mid-South Sculpture Alliance Outstanding Student Achievement Award. Cassidy has participated in residencies including Art-St-Urban in Switzerland, Mildred’s Lane in Narrowsburg, NY and Elsewhere Museum in Greensboro, NC. She has exhibited in New York City, Los Angeles, Washington D.C, and Atlanta to name a few.
