Appointed 2016. Dan holds a Bachelor of Music Education from The College of Wooster (1994), and a Master of Education in Administration from Kent State University (2006). While at Wooster, he studied clarinet under Jose Rua, and participated in the Scot Marching Band, Scot Symphonic Band, Wooster Symphony Orchestra, Wooster Jazz Ensemble, Choral Union, and several small ensembles. He studied music education with Nancy Ditmer, and did his student teaching with Ned Brooks. Dan is in his 23rd year of teaching in the public schools, and currently teaches band and orchestra in the Wooster City Schools. Previous to Wooster, he taught in Barberton City Schools, Perry Local Schools, and Jefferson County Public Schools. Dan has presented several clinics at the Ohio Music Education Association’s Professional Development Conference, with an emphasis towards preservice and new teachers.
