Rachel David is the director of community health promotion. She holds master’s degrees in clinical counseling and public health from Ashland University and the Ohio State University. Rachel has been working with college students in several different capacities since 2004. Prior to coming to Wooster, she worked in the mental health field as a professional counselor in private practice and college counseling centers. She also spent a large part of her career as an academic counselor in a Federal TRIO program through the US Department of ED. In that role, she served first-generation college students, students from limited-income backgrounds, and students with disabilities. At the College of Wooster, Rachel works on population health initiatives and provides preventive, educational, and equitable strategies to help the campus community achieve physical, mental, and social well-being.

Additionally, Rachel is a registered yoga teacher and enjoys teaching yoga, mindfulness and mental health promotion workshops. She loves being part of the College of Wooster community, and looks forward to empowering students, faculty, and staff to attain their highest level of health while on campus and beyond.
