After graduating from the College of Wooster with a double major in Sociology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, I accepted a position as a Courthouse Legal Advocate for Sojourner Family Peace Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin through the Lutheran Volunteer Corps. During that year, I assisted victims and survivors in obtaining restraining orders at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
In 2014, I was accepted to the Women’s and Gender Studies MA program at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. I served as an instructor for Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies completed my master’s thesis, A False Sense of Security: A Feminist Content Analysis of Media Representations of Rape Prevention Devices, in Spring 2016.
Now I work as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator with Cielo Talent Management for the Froedtert Health hospital system and the Medical College of Wisconsin. I currently live in Glendale, Wisconsin with my partner, Scott, and our two cats, Sorcha and Lilly.
