Guidance for Prospective Students

The effect of COVID-19 has deeply impacted school calendars for high school students and college students across the globe. Wooster is committed to remaining flexible and supporting prospective and admitted students and families. Additionally, we understand that current events in our nation weigh heavily on students and families, and we wish to emphasize our support for students who choose to engage in social activism.

Important steps the Office of Admissions has taken:

  • Continue to offer individual campus visits. These visits include a socially distant 50-minute walking tour with a current Wooster student. Additionally, high school seniors may choose to interview in-person with an admissions representative while practicing safe social distancing.
  • Continue to expand our virtual connections, opportunities for all students and family members to interact with current students, staff and other community members.
  • Wooster is test-optional, accepts self-reported test scores and there is no application fee.
  • Encourage students to engage in meaningful, informed civil discourse around important and sometimes difficult issues. Your Wooster admission will not be affected in any way by disciplinary actions associated with participating in protests or respectfully demonstrating your freedom of expression. We admire your commitment to a cause and ask that you consider sharing your experiences with us in your application this fall. Black Lives Matter.
