College mourns passing of Henry C. Miller '44
Former trustee was 89
WOOSTER, Ohio, Feb. 5, 2013 – Henry C. Miller ’44, a member of The College of Wooster’s board of trustees from 1994 to 1997, died on Jan. 29 at his home in Thousand Oaks, Cal., after a long illness. He was 89.
Miller earned a bachelor’s degree from Wooster in 1944 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He earned an M.B.A. from Harvard University and built a successful business career at companies including the Borg Warner Corporation and Western Gear Corporation, where he served as president.
Miller served on the college’s Alumni Board from 1984 to 1987, and on the Board of Trustees from 1994 to 1997.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Virginia (Clark) Miller ’44, by their three children, and six grandchildren. A complete obituary may be found here.
