Scot Marching Band Presents Annual Fall Concert on Sunday

Selections from football pregame and halftime shows featured in McGaw Chapel performance

WOOSTER, Ohio — The Scot Marching Band, under the direction of Dan Fleischaker, will present its annual fall concert on Sunday, Oct. 29, at The College of Wooster. The performance, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 1:30 p.m. in McGaw Chapel (340 E. University St.).

The program features an assemblage of works from pregame and halftime shows from the current football season, including traditional favorites “Blue Bells of Scotland,” "Are You From Wooster?" "Score Wooster," and "Black and Gold."

Also on the program are selections from Broadway shows “Wicked,” “West Side Story,” and “Tommy,” as well as Disney movies, including “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Jungle Book,” and “The Incredibles.” Popular musical hits by Kansas, Ray Charles, and Queen will also be performed.

The pipe band, under the leadership of Jack Whalen, and the Highland Dancers, led by Bridget Gross, will also perform. Drum majors this year are sophomore Neva Derewetzky and junior Daniel Myers.

Joining Fleischaker on Sunday will be assistant director Ned Brooks and percussion instructor Steve Neal.
