Charles Ingram Named Interim Vice President for Finance and Business at Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster has named Charles E. Ingram interim vice president for finance and business, effective May 30. He succeeds Dee McCormick, who recently accepted a new position as vice president for finance and administration at Albion College in Albion, Mich. Wooster will launch a national search for McCormick’s successor this summer.
Ingram retired in 2017 following five years as vice president of administration and finance at Stockton University in Galloway, N.J. He directed a division with more than 300 employees responsible for the university’s facilities operations, finance and business services, human resources, campus police, and auxiliary enterprises including food service and the bookstore. He oversaw the university’s $227 million operating budget, and a $74 million investment fund. Prior to Stockton, Ingram spent 28 years at the University of Arizona, where he rose through the ranks from budget analyst to associate budget officer, assistant vice president for financial services, and associate vice president for financial services. He is a former board member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers, and former president of the Western Association of College and University Business Officers.
At Wooster, Ingram will be responsible for oversight of budgeting, the business office, facilities and facilities planning, investments, grounds, purchasing, human resources, the bookstore, and food services.
“We are extremely fortunate to be able to tap someone like Charles Ingram – a seasoned leader and strategic thinker with a long track record of success in higher education – to fill this interim role,” said Sarah R. Bolton, Wooster’s president. “We look forward to welcoming him to Wooster.”
“It’s an honor and privilege to be part of the Wooster family and assist during this time of transition for the vice president for finance and business,” Ingram said. “Everyone I have met has been so helpful and supportive and I am excited to get started.”
The College of Wooster is America’s premier college for mentored undergraduate research.
