Lowry Center Dining Hall

Lowry Center Dining Hall is located on the top floor of Lowry Center.

Campus Dining Services uses high-quality ingredients, many fruits and vegetables from local suppliers in Wayne County and proudly serves Certified Angus Beef® in all locations.

New for Fall 2020

  • We now have touch-free transactions! Please use the card reader on the counter to swipe yourself in. Our cashier will assist you if needed.
  • Plexiglass barriers have been added to keep our cashiers and customers safe.
  • Seating has been reduced to half capacity (340 seats) as mandated by the Ohio Department of Health. Please maintain the required spacing between seats.
  • New exit path—please enter Lowry Dining Hall using the circular stairs on the Beall Avenue side of the building, then exit using the stairwell near the entrance to the Lowry Ballroom. The exit will take you down to either the Lowry first floor (main lobby, Post Office, Bookstore and MacLeod’s convenience store) or the patio level (Mom’s, the Lowry back patio and offices of Student Activities).
  • Let us serve you! In compliance with Ohio Department of Health guidelines on safe restaurant service during the global pandemic, all of our service stations have been converted to plated service. Our staff, trained in safe food handling through the National Restaurant Association, will be happy to plate your meal for you and provide you with utensils and condiments. All stations are still all-you-care-to-eat.
  • Lunch and dinner feature menu service times have been expanded during the week when classes are in session. All stations will be open for lunch from 11am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday. The dinner menu will be available from 4:30pm to 8pm. Weekdays between 2:30pm and 4:30pm, the following stations will be open: Salad/Deli, Grille, Noodles, Pizza (for personal size pizzas only), Eggs All Day and Desserts. On weekends, the feature menu stations (Basics, Eggs All Day and Vegetarian) along with Salad/Deli, Grille, Noodles or Pizza (for personal size pizzas only), Eggs All Day and Desserts will be open from 11am to 1:30pm for lunch. Between 1:30pm and 5pm the following stations will be open-- Salad/Deli, Grille, Noodles or Pizza (for personal size pizzas only), Eggs All Day and Desserts. Weekend dinner will be served from 5pm to 8pm, featuring Basics, Salad/Deli, Grille, Noodles or Pizza (for personal size pizzas only), Stir-Fry, Vegetarian and Desserts.
  • The Eggs All Day station features freshly-prepared loaded scrambles for quick service. Vegan Just Egg is also available upon request.
  • The Stir Fry at night option on International has been expanded, but always serves steamed white rice and freshly tossed stir-fried vegetables and your choice of sauce.
  • The Specialty Food cooler with vegan and gluten-free options is now located at the Deli/Salad area. Just tell a staff member what you would like.
  • A 4th meal has been added to Lowry Dining Hall from 8pm to midnight, seven days a week. The Grille, with many of Mom’s late night favorites, and one other feature station will be open, including A Pho Noodle Bowl station which will be open on the International station on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights.
  • The green to-go box and the reusable mug programs have been temporarily suspended for the safety of students and our staff.
  • The Clean Table system—look for dining tables with the “Clean Table” sign to ensure that your space has been sanitized after the last guest. When you sit down, flip the card over to the bright pink side to indicate that your seat will need to be sanitized after you leave.
  • To-go meals are still available. Ask the cashier for a sanitized, washable to-go coin when you swipe in. Let the staff member at the food station know you need a to-go container and then drop the coin in the collection box. A to-go meal must fit into one clamshell container and one round soup container.

MacLeod's Coffee Bar and Convenience Store

Located on the East end of the Lowry Center Main Lounge, MacLeod's offers locally roasted Erie Island coffee and espresso-based drinks and a host of convenience store products.

  • Please understand that COVID-19 safety protocols to support physical distancing only allow 4 customers at a time inside MacLeod’s Convenience Store. Please check on capacity before entering.
  • The reusable mug program has been temporarily suspended for the safety of students and our staff.
  • We now have touch-free transactions. After the cashier rings your order, you will swipe your own card to complete the transaction.

Mom’s Truckstop

Mom’s is located on the ground floor of Lowry Center.

New for Fall 2020

  • Plexiglass barriers have been added to keep our cashiers and customers safe.
  • Mom’s new hours are Monday through Friday, 11am to 7pm
  • Mom’s Café is now focused on plant-forward food with grab-and-go convenience. Our new menu features delicious hot and cold sandwiches, gourmet soups, wraps, salads, Buddha Bowls, fresh fruit and Naan Bread Pizzas. We use locally sourced hydroponic greens, Greek yogurt and many locally grown fruits and vegetables along with Halal chicken. We have also eliminated the sale of bottled beverages at this location, and offer customizable green teas, fruit smoothies and shakes along with Coke fountain products. Many gluten-free and vegan options are available.
  • We now have touch-free transactions. After the cashier rings your order, you will swipe your own card to complete the transaction.

Old Main Café

Located on the "Garden Level" of Kauke Hall, Old Main Café offers locally roasted Erie Island coffee and espresso-based drinks, bottled beverages as well as muffins, dessert bars and cheesecakes.

Freshly-prepared salads and sandwiches are available daily and include vegan and vegetarian specialties.

The Knowlton Café

The Knowlton Café, located in the Ruth W. Williams Hall of Life Science, offers locally roasted Erie Island coffee and espresso-based drinks, bottled beverages as well as muffins, freshly-prepared salads and sandwiches, and two hot soup options. Gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options are available.

  • Expanded hours--Knowlton Café will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6pm.
  • We will offer the daily soup, salad and sandwich menu for a longer period of time during the day.
  • We now have touch-free transactions. After the cashier rings your order, you will swipe your own card to complete the transaction.

  • Smoothies have been temporarily discontinued so that we can reduce wait times and focus on quick service and physical distancing.
