For the third year running, The College of Wooster has proudly partnered with United Way of Wayne & Holmes Counties to bring together both on-campus and off-campus service opportunities for the entire Wooster community.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Event kicks off with Flex for Good, which is sponsored by Wooster Volunteer Network, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
(SAAC), and United Way. This campaign takes students’ left over FLEX dollars and allows
them to buy healthy snacks and hygiene items in the C-Store in December (leave them
in the bins outside the C-Store). Students, staff, and Faculty can purchase/donate
healthy snacks and hygiene items from the C-Store at The College of Wooster, or bring
items in to donate. Then, these items will be sorted and distributed on MLK Day as
an on-campus service project.
Sign up for this fun, fast-paced on-campus experience.
Off-campus opportunities for service are coordinated by our local United Way, of which The College of Wooster has long been a proud partner. For the 2018 MLK
DAY of Service, we are working with the following agencies: Viola Startzman Clinic,
Wee Care Learning Center, Local Roots, Holly House, Salvation Army of Wooster, OneEighty,
